Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data Smart Soccer Stats (“we”, “us”) processes when you visit smartsoccerstats.eu, why, and what rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising. To understand how the site is used and to improve it, we use the following third-party analytics services, which process limited personal data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and your interactions with our pages:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic and usage statistics. Provided by Google. IP addresses are used to approximate location and are not stored by us.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised heatmaps and session replays that show how visitors navigate pages. Text you type into inputs is masked by default and is not captured.
- Google Search Console — reports on how the site performs in Google Search. This does not track you on our site; it uses data Google already holds from its search results.
Cookies and consent
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies and similar identifiers. Where required by law (including for visitors in the EU/EEA and UK), these services load only after you give consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Essential functionality of the site works without them.
International transfers
Google and Microsoft may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained by the respective providers according to their policies and our configured retention settings, after which it is deleted or anonymised. We do not maintain our own database of visitor personal data.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
